Thoughts on #AsiaSource3

After 6 days with grueling Internet connection, I am finally back home to a fast enough Internet.

What is Asia Source 3?
From the site itself, it says:

Building Capacities and Empowering Humanity through the use of Free and Open Source Software to connect, cooperate, and collaborate – the FOSS way.

And true to their word, it is an event where the participants gets the final word  to what we will get to learn in the end. It also fosters and environment where everyone is encouraged to ask questions and share what they know. Zembly @ Adamson

one comment

September 26, 2009 — Despite my still recovering stomach and the windy (and rainy) weather, we set out to go to Adamson University for the 3-hour (gasp!) long seminar. By the time he got in, it was already 9:30 (and I already got to eat my breakfast, yey!). We then started with our talks in our respective classrooms. We’re covering Zembly, JavaFX and Linux. Another speaker that we did not know will be discussing SAP.

Software Freedom Day 2009

one comment

There were 2 major celebrations for Software Freedom Day in the Philippines last September 19. One was in the NCC and the other was in UST. As much as I wanted to be in all of the venues, I had to pick one. Actually, I did not really have a choice. I needed to be at UST because I gave the routine FOSS talk. Oddly enough, I did not feel nervous giving the talk. In fact, I think I did okay. Audience rapport was good and I can tell they were listening.
