FLYFF : Modern Furniture

leave a comment

I left FLYFF at around a month after onset of the Housing system (which was v13) and when I left, there’s still no furniture with stats.

Visiting the game again, these stat-laden furniture are now available at the Flyff Shop:

ModernFurnitures

They sell for around 300 coupons, which is equivalent to 15Php. Not bad for 7 days worth of additional stats. They typically sell for 15M (those that adds to stats, looks like tables and closets costs a lot more) in-game, and in my opinion, one of the best returns in terms of Penya to PhP ratio (which is 1M per Php or up to double for the Table and Closet) compared with your typical Premiums, like Azria tickets (which sells for only around 800k per Php).

However, with the Flyff Shop’s not-so-stellar information system, I’ve had to do some extra research on what stat boost each furniture gives.

Here’s a table on what they do:

Modern Closet Def+150
Modern Bed Str + 5
Modern Sofa Def +6, Sta +5 (which adds 10 more def)
Modern Cabinet Dex +5
Modern Dresser Int + 5
Modern Table Atk + 200

If you’re the type who spends on FUN and FOR cards, then the Table and Closet would be a better alternative and you can save those FUN and FOR cards for one of those hardcore grinding sessions.

Have fun grinding. :D

Risks and Opportunities

I have been reading this book and I have learned a lot from it.
The book taught me lots of new things (such as the difference between an income statement and balance sheet) but more importantly, it reminded me of lessons I already knew but never took them to heart. Now, I repeat the same lessons to myself over and over again so that I will never forget.

Education and Piracy

PiracyIsNotAnOption

I am probably the only person who ever replied like this to such assignments.

It’s just that, in my opinion, an instructor who asks his/her students to use a particular software is compelled to provide for them a copy of the software or at least a source where they can get a copy. Furthermore, being in education, the copy should be legitimate or else risk being a bad influence to his/her constituents.

Piracy is not an alternative and I do not want to be an educated pirate.

How can we, as academics, condemn plagiarism and not piracy? In essence, they are the same — making use of a legal intellectual property without credit — only that in software, credit is in the form of currency.

Seriously, if I don’t get an alternative or a legitimate copy, I will not do the Machine Problem.

Feel free to comment. :)
